Nelson Kraus publishes “SUPER Simple Anatomy and Physiology: A Study Guide on STEROIDS!”

ss-ap-cover-pixNelson Kraus, associate adjunct faculty in biology, published a textbook which is required reading for his biology courses.

“SUPER Simple Anatomy and Physiology: A Study Guide on STEROIDS!” (SS A&P) authored by Nelson H. Kraus, M.Sc., M.D., hit the bookstore shelves in August 2017.

“It’s designed to help students understand exactly what they need to know in each of my courses, so they don’t have to struggle to pick out the important content from a 1,200-page text,” Kraus said, noting that his textbook will be about 200 pages total.

The book consists of two parts: Part I is anatomy and Part II is physiology. It is the required text for Kraus’s BIOL 103 sections this fall and his BIOL 104 sections for spring semester.  While the other BIOL 103 and 104 courses utilize McKinley’s Anatomy and Physiology, 2nd Edition as their required text, Kraus utilizes McKinley as a resource or “reference” text since his text is designed to supplement a traditional A&P textbook.

The final first edition is scheduled for nationwide release in late summer or early fall of 2018.
