As you know, all existing instructional spaces are now equipped with a form of projection technology (e.g. projectors, flat panels). As we continue to support and maintain newer technologies, it is necessary to re-evaluate technologies that are minimally used or are nearing their end-of-life due to new industry standards.
To that end, we will begin collecting overhead projectors (used for transparencies) from classrooms in May in preparation for redistributing them to departments. After the projectors are redistributed on June 1, 2018, all future repairs, supplies, and replacements will be the responsibility of the department. Departments whose faculty use overhead projectors may submit their requests to the Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you use an overhead projector in your instruction, please contact your department chair or administrative assistant to make them aware of your needs. You will need to work with your department to make sure this equipment is available for you to use for your next teaching session.
