Mike Holstein to retire

Mike Holstein

Mike Holstein, vice president and chief financial officer, has shared his plan to retire in December 2018.

Message from President Rob Manuel:

It is with mixed emotions that I write to let you know that Mike Holstein has decided to retire and move to North Carolina. Mike came to the University during a time when we needed a strategic thinker to help professionalize the financial strategies and budgeting processes for our University. In the time he has been with us he has managed to professionalize our financial processes, connect us better with our community of financial professionals around the country, create a data driven approach to managing our financial realities at the University, and has been a trusted leader as we have sought to engage some of the most pressing questions at our institution.

Mike has helped position us to be a healthy institution in a time of great challenge, and I am grateful to him for his leadership. Mike will retire on December 1, 2018, and he and his wife will then take up residency in North Carolina.

Please join me in thanking Mike for his service to UIndy, and wish him the best of luck as he transitions into the next stage of his life.
