OT professor and alumni publish on falls prevention
Brenda Howard, assistant professor of occupational therapy, and several 2016 master of occupational therapy alumni recently published an article in the journal Physical and Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics. The article, “Investigating Older Adults’ Expressed Needs Regarding Falls Prevention,” detailed the outcomes of a study that sought to understand, among other things, why people fall, the impact of falls, and barriers to falls prevention participation.
